The purpose of offering the exams is to maintain a high standard of competence in EEG and EMG across Canada.

The exam application deadline is February 1st. For more information and application forms, please contact Marika Fitzgerald at (403) 229-9544 or E-mail: marika-fitzgerald@cnsfederation.org.

New Enhancements to the CSCN
EEG/EMG Examinations

  1. To give due recognition to candidates who have successfully
challenged the CSCN examinations, a new official designation is
introduced. “CSCN Diplomate (EEG)” will be used for those who passed
the EEG examination and “CSCN Diplomate (EMG)” for passing the
EMG examination. Those titles can be used when stating their medical
    qualifications.
  2. For those unsuccessful candidates who have concerns about fairness of
the examinations, an appeal process has been put in place. To activate
the review process, the candidate must make the request in writing
and explicitly state the reasons for concerns.
