CNSF GOVERNANCE

A Board of Directors governs the CNSF. The Board consists of two members (the President and Vice President) from each of the four Societies, the President and two Vice-Presidents of the Board who are appointed from the general membership of the four Societies, one Neurology or Neurosurgery resident (alternating), the immediate Past-Chair of the Board (non-voting), and the CNSF CEO (non-voting). The Governance Committee consists of the CNSF President and the Presidents of the 4 member Societies, who serve as a nominating committee.


Your Congress Abstract Book is included with the May issue of the Journal. There will not be another distribution of the Abstract Book at the Congress, so bring your Abstract book with you for reference during poster and platform sessions.

Protecting your privacy is important to the Canadian Neurological Sciences Federation (“CNSF").

This Policy explains how CNSF uses and discloses the personal information collected from and provided by you while using CNSF’s Main Site (as defined in the CNSF Website Use Policy). Like many other web sites, the Main Site automatically collects certain non-identifiable information regarding Main Site users, such as the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your computer, the date and time you access the Main Site, your operating system, the sections of the Main Site you visit, and the materials you post to or download from the Main Site. This non-identifiable information is used for Main Site administration and improvement. Your non-identifiable information may be disclosed to others and permanently archived for future use.

The Main Site may use “cookies", a technology that saves information to your computer to permit the Main Site to recognize your future visits. Cookies enhance the convenience and use of the Main Site. You may choose to decline cookies if your browser permits although they may be required to enter the CNSF Member Site (as defined in the CNSF Website Use Policy).

During your use of the Main Site, you may decide to voluntarily provide personal information such as your name, email address, postal address, and telephone number when asked for purposes such as communicating with CNSF.

CNSF may use your personal information to contact and correspond with you, to respond to your inquiries, and as otherwise permitted by law. If you provide your email address, CNSF may send to you, from time to time, email containing information about CNSF and other matters it believes will interest you.

CNSF must cooperate fully should a situation arise where CNSF is required by law or a legal authority to release your personal information.

CNSF takes reasonable precautions to avoid the unauthorized disclosure of your personal information. Nevertheless, due to the nature of the Internet, security and privacy risks cannot be eliminated, therefore, CNSF cannot guarantee that your personal information will not be disclosed in ways not otherwise described in this Policy.

You may request access to your personal information and information about CNSF’s collection, use and disclosure of that information by contacting CNSF at info@cnsfederation.org. Subject to certain legal exceptions, you will be given reasonable access to your personal information, and you will be entitled to challenge the accuracy and completeness of the information and to have it amended as appropriate.

CNSF may use and share with our partners non-personal statistical or demographic information which cannot be connected to the identities or other personal information of individual users for research purposes.

The Canadian Journal of Neurological Sciences is the official publication of the four member societies of the CNSF, publishing original work in both the clinical and basic neuro-sciences. The Journal encourages publication of papers from all branches of the neurosciences. The circulation is currently 1,600 and it is distributed in Canada, USA and abroad.
